ION EXPANDS IMAGE-CONVERSION LINE WITH FIVE NEW MODELS
Easy-to-Use Devices Enable People To Rediscover and Preserve Their Memories
Cumberland, R.I. (Jan. 7, 2010) – ION (www.ionaudio.com), a leader in consumer audio and personal technology, announces five new image-conversion devices: PICS 2 PC, PICS 2 SD, FILM 2 PC, and revised versions of FILM 2 SD and SLIDES 2 PC. ION will unveil the new devices at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Central Hall Booth 11714, Jan. 7-10, 2010.
ION image-conversion devices enable virtually anyone to scan and rediscover their old pictures using today’s digital technology. Users can enjoy their pictures on their computer, on a digital picture frame, television, iPod, mobile phone or other devices and share them with family and friends on social media Web sites and email. Each model features ultra-fast scanning and easy-to-use controls.
PICS 2 PC and PICS 2 SD scan photo prints, slides and film negatives. PICS 2 PC comes with image-scanning computer software and scans to computers via a standard USB connection. PICS 2 SD scans to a built-in SD card slot. Users can view their images on a large LCD screen, enabling them to convert without using their computer.
FILM 2 SD offers the same features and capabilities as PICS 2 SD, but without photo print scanning. Updated for 2010, FILM 2 SD now features a larger preview screen.
SLIDES 2 PC, also updated for 2010, offers the same features and capabilities as PICS 2 PC, but without photo print scanning. For users who have less-common formats, SLIDES 2 PC scans 135mm and 110mm film negatives and 135mm slides to computer via USB. Like ION’s other computer scanners, SLIDES 2 PC includes easy-to-use computer scanning software.
